With fascinator counters to mob, celebrity race ensembles to insta-stalk at and champagne picnics to organise, the Spring Racing Carnival is in full swing! You have your outfit organised, tips sorted and secret pair of flats stashed in your bag but here are some flowery tips to make sure you look extra pro at the track this Carnival!

Did you know that each day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival has it’s own dedicated flower? You may have noticed flower buttonholes being handed out to the men at the track, but the day’s signature flowers don’t discriminate and are a fabulous way to celebrate the day in (in-the-know) style.

Fresh floral headpieces are (still!) all the rage and are a perfect pop of colour to your races ensemble – and with a bit of wire and elbow grease, super easy to make as well. Be two sartorial steps in front of the pack with their generic me-too headwear and make sure you pop on a little something special.  Just remember to keep your fresh floral headpiece in the fridge until the last moment.

If floral headpieces aren’t your jam, consider a cute fresh flower bracelet (corsages are SO yesterday) like this cutie from BLOOMBOX CO favourite a pair & a spare, or use the colour to inspire your outfit (Derby Day excluded).

Organising a picnic at the track or race day lunch? Get down with the day’s signature bloom by adding a flowery touch. Think cute posies in your picnic basket, or a single bloom tied to each napkin for a memorable touch.
