A Burgundy Moment – Hot Pink Peony Flower Arrangement
with Beech and Spray Carnations
With so many holiday plans floating through the air (and in your brain!), it can be easy to whip through til Christmas without taking a breath. But at times like this, it’s more important than ever to stop and smell the flowers.
Nothing reminds you to be in the present so much as the peony! Ephemeral, beautiful, and gone in a flash. The short local season is winding up now, so this is our last peony box until November next year! And with THAT sort of fleeting beauty, it’s worth stopping to appreciate it.
This week’s romantic burgundy and hot pink hued box is a treat, with hot pink peonies offset by tiny bright spray carnations (or matricaria in Sydney). Arrange simply and enjoy!
Here’s what you’ll need.
2-3 stems of a white filler (we like matricaria or spray carnations)
2-3 stems of burgundy foliage (copper glow tea tree, copper beech or myrtle)
clean glass vase
sharp scissors or flower shears
