Hello Sunshine – Sunflower and Ivy Arrangement

with Bud Wax and Ranunculus

When sometimes it seems all a bit Too Much, there’s nothing wrong with turning to the simplest of pleasures to restore your soul. Shrug off for a moment, a day, or a week what’s happening out there.

Taking the time to savour a mug of hot chocolate, the book you’ve read a dozen times already, finding the brightest patch of winter sun (or hot water bottle) in your home to snuggle into. Arranging blooms in your favourite vase.

These sunflowers will bring a ray of sunshine into your home all on their own, but teamed up ranunculus (or frilled double tulips), tiny shiny buds of wax and verdant ivy they’ll be a sweet mix of blooms that will continue to delight as they bloom and open.

They’re easy as cherry pie to arrange. Simply drop in a backdrop of ivy into a vase, letting it spill out and do its own thing. Add your sunflowers at different heights, with their showy faces facing forward. Fill in the gaps with sprays of bud wax and pop in your ranunculus for the final sweet touch.
