Firework Frenzy – New Year’s Fireworks inspired arrangement

with Umbrella Fern and Alstroemeria

Happy 2019!! We’re starting this year with a bang, and some vibrant fresh flowers to make your space feel light, bright and full of New Year promise. At this time of year there are some fab hot weather blooms on offer. This week we have a sparkly mix of summer blooms and bright magenta alstroemeria for a splash of long lasting colour. And as an ode to January (the month of fireworks!), we have gorgeous umbrella fern which are a botanical firework all on their own.

Start by trimming your umbrella fern at different heights and stack them in a vase with fresh water to create a frame for your arrangement. Add your trachelium or pineapple lilies next – feel free to lean a few stems out the side of your vase for added drama. Scatter in stems of alstroemeria to fill the gaps and pop in your anthurium (or siam tulips) to bring it all together. Enjoy!

Happy New Year from the team at Bloombox Co.
