Peaches and Green – Zesty Green Flower Arrangement
with Tulips, Trix and Umbrella Fern
This week’s box will take you far away from the dark and gloomy weather we’ve been having and transport you to beautiful green hilly pastures, bright sunshine with fluffy white clouds in the sky.
Imagine this: you’re enjoying fruit straight off the trees with a glass of peach iced tea with some fresh mint, sitting on the verandah of your beachside cottage (well, your Airbnb!). The faintest smell of the sea, the sounds of birds chirping and trees rustling in the breeze.
Let this week’s blooms take you on this journey with us. Simply grab a clean glass vase, filled to half way with fresh water. Trim and slide in your umbrella fern to one side at a jaunty angle. Pop in your trix stems in a cluster, making sure to cut them at different heights for visual interest. Finally, slide in your tulips to the side, allowing for lots of room to droop (as tulips do best). If you’re feeling adventurous you can “pop” the petals on your tulips for an open, almost tropical look.
Here’s what you’ll need.
5-7 stems of Molluca Balm, Trix or other bright green flowers
1-2 stems of greenery (umbrella fern or cordyline)
clean glass vase
sharp scissors or flower shears
