Carnation and Corokia arrangement

It wouldn’t be fair to call carnations trash. In fact, quite the opposite! The much maligned carny is a new age favourite, and here’s why! These ruffly petalled beauties are more akin to peony than anything else. Best gathered in a cluster, these petal heavy blooms create mega impact in a vase, and last longer than you’d think.

Next generation breeds have left the variegated reds and purples that you remember from the 90’s in the dust! Begone bad babies’ breath and carnation combos, and hello hello to a veritable gelati bar of cappuccino, lemon sorbet, boysenberry, strawberry swirl and the lushest pastel purple. And this week’s fave – the terracotta.

Right on trend and ready to be scooped and served up with lashings of easter daisies, dainty arab eye and spiked with stems of corokia. It’s a sweet, on trend treat to last you through the week.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • 3-6 stems of carnation
  • 1-2 stems of corokia
  • 5-10 stems of arab eye
  • 3-6 stems of easter daisy
  • 1-2 stems of olive
  • clean glass vase
