Hey bohemian babe!
When’s the last time you took time to really dream? You know, laid back, stared at the sky and imagined being an astronaut/on a magazine cover/saving the gorillas/best friends with Oprah. Thought so!
Dreams are vital to expanding your horizons, even the crazy ones – something that we know first hand! So this week’s theme is inspired by the dreamcatcher – a traditional Native American webbed willow hoop, believed to have the power to trap a dreamer’s bad dreams and only let positive ones through. A dreamcatcher is usually woven and decorated with beads, feathers and found items and was traditionally made to protect the recipient’s state of mind and wellbeing.
Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country
– Anais Nin
This week we have a lush selection of beauties, perfect for clustering in to loose, free-flowing arrangements. Start by laying flowers at random in your hand, stem by stem, adding foliage last. Tie off with twine or a rubber band, trim any excess stems and pop your messy posy into your favourite vase, jug or vessel. Get extra dreamy and pop in a feather or two and let the good dreams flow.
